I have recently put together a pair of PM90 speakers and now finishing off fixtures on cabs
I am going to fit the C8/8 passive crossover for when I need the extra amp channels Any suggestions on a switch that can handle switching active/passive?, ie - switching two bms driver inputs from xover to extra pins on an NL8 tia

You need a 6PDT switch.
Wire driver and passive crossover inputs to middle terminals so: 1. xover input + 2. xover input - 3. 2" + 4. 2" - 5. 1" + 6. 1" - Wire "passive" side of terminals so: (assuming you are using 3+/3- on NL8 as your amp input) 1. NL8 3+ 2. NL8 3- 3. xover lo out + 4. xover lo out - 5. xover hi out + 6. xover hi out - Wire "active" side of terminals so: (assuming you are using 3+/3- and 4+/4- on NL8 as feed for 2" and 1" driver respectively) 1. no connection 2. no connection 3. NL8 3+ 4. NL8 3- 5. NL8 4+ 6. NL8 4- This way you only have the passive in circuit when needed and isolated if not. Here is a suitable switch: |
