Toasty is correct - the only reason they are generally cheaper is because they strip out all of the good stuff like insurance.
If you actually need to insure for more than £25 then the rates soon go up.
Interparcel have been good on a previous claim and their customer service seems to be better than most.
Just use the 'big' names and you'll have a better success rate - although they can all still go wrong.

An amplifier insured for £2000 shipped via the ‘cheap’ brokers was quoted at over £200. It was less than half that direct with a major courier.
