Hi,
im new to this forum so sorry if Im asking this question at the wrong space.
But basically im upgrading my bass section and building some super scoops and im looking for some cheap 18 drivers to load in them as I cant afford 500 pound in a pair of fane collosus or drivers in that price range at the moment.
So any suggestion for budget scoop driver would be really appreciated ..

Peace

Welcome to the forum, look for some second hand fane xb's I have them in my super scoops and they sound wicked, this is a much covered topic though so i'd advise you to search through the forum too. You need a driver that is relatively tough, not all drivers are cut out to be scoop drivers.

Possibly look in the "Scoop Forum", perhaps..  !?
IIRC, people have been talking about best drivers in Superscooper, for over 15 years.

Request the admin to move this thread to the Scoop forum, and you will receive recommendations, daily.

Almost more important than the drivers, is which amplifier are you intending to use.

Don't be like the "Scoop Muppets", and use woefully underpowered amp, which will just clip and blow your drivers.

What amplifier are you intending to use ?

Cheap "Scoop Drivers", is false economy, will cost you twice when you have to get drivers reconed, because they couldn't do much.

Instead of buying cheap amps, and buying cheap cheap drivers, just keep your money in the bank, and forget about getting involved in sound.

Otherwise, Used Void V18-1000s, are the most bang per buck you will have in these cabs, and get quality old amp like Crown MA5000VZ, or SAE 5K transformer amp, I forget the actual model.

Don't be tempted to buy Proline 3000 to run 4x 1kw drivers, you will regret it in the long run.
