hello everyone in a facebook group was talking about a new extremely compact system of "new generation horn" that they would do with a light weight (from what the designers say, some parts would be made of resin, but do not want to leak their secret. .) and even of "high efficiency" tubes (similar to the wave cannon bose : D but with modern technology ..) that would promise miracles.

it is not clear why maybe they are both (tube and trumpet) put together, but I understand only that there is a lot of compression, and I'm blessed sub does 107db with 1w and has a power holding of 700w in the range 50-200hz and would weigh 10kg ... also there would be better technologies to go even lower ...

do you know something similar? what are you referring to? are they bullshit?

Sounds like bullshit to me. The cutoff is not low, so it could be possible with carbon fibre, but a single driver with enough excursion and stuff enough cone to drive a horn with high compression alone would weigh 7kg or more.

If they achieve it, the materials will have to be ridiculously expensive and the cabinet will likely be impractical and large.

according to you, currently which horn loading technology is more efficient? what kind of plans?
obviously a good sensitivity and greater comparability.

That depends what trade offs you’re willing to accept. If you want it to go low and be sensitive, it needs to be very large.

If you’re happy with 50Hz performance then BPH designs seem to be most sensitive, at the expense of some tonal problems.
