Out of curiosity. Was your daughter playing the system indoors? It must have been very loud for a long time or was it because of the source material?

In one of my spare rooms Shocked
Unfortunately she takes after me with a love of seriously bass heavy music, checked my controller history and she was even playing test tones and sweeps

Thanks for the update. An obsolete 12" mid driver of mine was blown on my rig 2 weeks ago. I usually only play music and had set my limiters to nearly maximum power. Unfortunately someone who asked to play on my set that night used some sound effects and it caused the 12 inch driver to hit the horn phase bung. This damaged my driver. I guess the effect had a high output where driver movement was maximum. Him playing the effect so loud didn't help either.

I can usually hear an unhappy driver, but with effects it's pretty much impossible to hear what's supposed to be going on versus driver complaints.. was at a sound check on Saturday and one of the crews was making their mids scream... Thought to myself 'thats on a very shortly time limit before inevitable destruction' and lo and behold.... New diaphragms going to be ordered. But it sounded shit and they couldn't recognise it. Sad but true.

Freedom of choice, choice of freedom.

That is very interesting to know. Thought I was the only one that it may happened to. Next time I'll be more careful as to others playing on my set and what they play.
