As an outside spectator I must say I find this initiative and effort very valuable and intresting, as far as I know it is also fairly rare and as such it will cary some weight and gather alot of intrest both inside the forum (for sure) but also outside (no preasure) :)
It that context it could be good to remember that whatever you choose or feel you can do it will add in a positive way to what has been done before in this regard, so dont sweat it, you cannot go wrong, sure some people not involved will always find things to complain about afterwards but please feel free to ignore them, I for one aplaud this already with great hopes that you all manage to go through with it.

Likewise... that's why I was going to travel the 250 miles to Manchester if I could add something different.
There's few people with the skills and equipment to do this, and even less with the inclination to see it through. Seems like the pile to do is too big though. If it happens again, I'd like to see my ck26 (sae pcm20 update) amp vs the pkn 10000.

I could field a BSS EPC780, if anyone's interested? Might be able to persuade james.folkes to bring one of his Opus HD1250's too.

Well, I'm back from my holidays and have some weekdays free. Toasty, are you still up for hosting and testing? If so, how many amps do you think would be a sensible number for the day? I'm thinking it'd be good to put together a list of amps available, and forum members vote on which amps they'd like to see Chris

If people think it would be a good idea I can bring along a lightweight from the soundgear stable. If people would like a cheaper option testing.
Depending when, I may be able to offer an sr808 to get some up to date data from. Edited for spelling.
