Can someone direct me to info on this please. Where I come from ‘tuning’ is pitch related...?

It follows the same principal from a reflex standpoint. You are tuning the box to a particular frequency in which, the cabinet will resonate at the tuned frequency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmholtz_resonance

For Crossovers, the starting point (Tuning Frequency) is -3 dB. So if you "Tune" the Crossover at 100 Hertz, the slope will be -3 dB @ 100 Hertz and roughly 0 dB @ 90 Hz downwards. Slopes will vary pending on what you are aiming to accomplish. Best Regards, |
