Just wondering for those of you that have a 3/4/5 way pre, do you also use a DJ mixer and wire your sources into the mixer and then into the pre? I was advised that I'm missing a mixer as the cd's and decks would go straight into the pre-amp but surely there's no need or am I just being thick?

Depends on the mood!
With a sage I can wire in two line inputs, a turntable, a SPDIF input and a USB input Pretty much the only time I used a DJ mixer is if I have a guest DJ who doesn't know how to use the Sage

It's a cleaner signal path NOT having a DJ mixer as well
I did an 8 1/2 hours solo session in Poland from a single CDJ with 500GB USB SSD |
