I thought the whole point of the UMIK-1 was that it’s supplied as factory calibrated for SPL? It should really be recalibrated each time there’s a change in temperature, humidity or elevation, but as a rough guide the factory calibration should suffice.
I was always under the impression that it’s marketed as a trade off for only being able to do single channel measurements with it. |

An update regarding this project:
The V2 version has been sold eventually. I have designed a smaller version with the allocation V3, but it has several changes. -Smaller rear volume -Smaller frontal area -"half circle" slots same as V1 to maximise hornlength in its footprinth -Higher tuning compared to the 75Hz of the V2, eventhough it has less rearchamber volume it should raise sensitivity a bit from >100Hz and up. -Handles etc. -15mm birch ply with some 12mm bracing -Dependent on driver, optimised phase plugs -Bigger hatch for easier acces to the drivers -Space for amp module like the Powersoft 4HC/HV with heatsink medium I currently have it cnc'ed as a flatpack and unfortunately will not be going further with the project. Its just to much expense for using it maybe once or twice a year. I rather spend the money on some R&D for smaller loudspeakers etc. May someone be interested in a flatpack kit with all corresponding M10 mounts, flyware etc, pm :)

One of my favourite build/development threads. Sad to see this project end!
