Hi all, Considering attempting a first build project.
Wondering what peoples opinion is on the Beyma inclosure design S-18LEX for the 18LEX1600ND 18" driver. https://www.beyma.com/en/enclosure-designs/ Also Im thinking of amping with Lab Grupen. What model would be best suited for this sub? and how would I approach programming DSP parameters. Is it as simple as High pass / low pass + some corrective EQ or would it need to be more involved? Also not particularly clear on how programming limiting parameters into the amp would be done. Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers!

The box itself looks fine, but even with such port area, triangle shaped ports will be the less ideal option regarding port compression. Besides that, I would tune the cab lower with a driver like the 18LEX1600 (32 Hz or something).
Which amp? That does depend on your budget I would say. All top manufacturers have amps that suit such drivers. Some other thing to look at: Do you want on-board DSP? It does/can have some advantages regarding limiting (Powersoft TruePower etc, for example).
