Hi all. Has anyone tried JBL 2268H sub drivers in Hogs? I have a couple of languishing JBL srx728 reflex subs which amounts to 4 very lightweight neo drivers in 2 frankly shite built split cabs with 1970s style reflex slots and gash bracing. I was thinking that the lightness of these differential drive drivers could make a difference to the all up weight of my rig but I'd like to have them in a much more efficient cab. keep safe and well.

I guess it could be possible to peak close to 140dB from four hogs with these. The stock JBL cabs are 98dB efficient and allegedly top out at 136dB.

I love confetti
I'm guessing you're saying that the cones would disintegrate? I'm not understanding why though. These drivers are matched to jbl's open breathing ported cab currently with the port around 80"sq and very shallow. All advice gratefully received. |
