Does anyone have any experience with the 18sound 18lw2400 in a long path horn? Or any opinions how it may handle being put in a horn? Looking at using it as an alternative to 1850

As far as I'm aware the LW2400 is normally used as a reflex driver. It's often a replacement for NCA reflex sub drivers. I think the LW2500 is more suited for horns etc. If you can get 1850 cheaper, it's a solid bet as lots have people have used it and you know it'l work well

Oop you got me there! Yea as Foo said, the LW2500 is one of the recommended drivers for the FLH plans from 18sound. Specs suggest to me the 2500 is a better driver. I looked at both for a long time and went for the 2500 but havn't had a chance to use it much yet. Seems solid so far though!

thanks for the replies. was mainly concerned over the BL figure of 25.6 of the 2400 keeping up with the high pressures of a folded horn.
the 2500 seems an interesting one, it has a much higher BL of 30

The specs are not far off the nlw9601 or the b&c sw115 which are definitely better drivers but not by a mile. As far as I can tell the 2500 should be basically as efficient above 55Hz or so to the 9601 but looses out slightly from 30-50hz if you compare the sensitivity plots.
