It's just like driving your Ford Fiesta ST on a massively pot holed road and then saying something is wrong with your car as the ride quality is awful, lol. If you wanna know how good any speaker cabinets are with regards to sound quality always use a good sound source, for example like I mentioned above maybe commercial cd album (and not one you've burned on a computer yourself with 128kbps mp3 songs on it). That would be like me taking a 1980's cassette tape someone has recorded in their bedroom and testing out a pa rig at a shop i'm interested in buying and then when it sounds crap saying "nah the speakers sound shite", lol.

Anyway, least you know now to use a good quality audio to test speakers.

Studio45 told you this earlier in the thread! And kdw said you'd covered this on here before????

This thread could be a waste of time, or you could take away that buying a measurement mic and EQing your hf will help them balance and sound better. Still worthwhile once you've sorted your mp3 issue.
