Hi guys,
We were testing a Turbosound floodlight and blew 1 comp driver. It made a loud bang when it blew. We opened up and removed the driver from the horn, and the diaphragm is in tact and the unit all looks fine. On the panel there is an internal crossover, I don't know enough about electrics, but could there be a fuse in there that blew when too much power came through? Or can the comp unit blow without showing any signs of wear? The unit in question is an original turbosound EV DH2010A Diaphragm Any help appreciated, cheers, Tom

Try the comp with an active x over and amp to see if it works or start with your multi-meter and check continuity between the terminals.. should read a short as it a coil basically, if no you blew it.. hope that helps
