Ancient old 2I6O XTA LMS units sell for at least £600, more than brand new DBMark XCA 4I8O.

Are the old XTAs still worth asking prices?

The answer to that question will come in 25 years time if the Chinese made DB-Mark etc are still working and being serviced / supported.

I hate to say it but I expect the generation 1 DB-Mark units that were floating around a few years ago are probably binned if they break now.

I have a DP226 here that has to be at least 20+ Years old. Granted its retired sat in a box on the shelf, I would not have any worry sending it on a job if the time came.

Interesting..

Along similar lines, BSS 366T is one of my favorite sounding LMS units.

However cheap they turn up now, would not touch them, as would be waiting for un-replaceable screen to go..

The xca sounds much better than BSS366t; I personally wouldn’t hesitate to take a dbmark xca over older Lms units.

Is the screen unreplaceable now? Has that come from a good source?

I never really liked any of the BSS offerings.
