Hello community
How would you simulate a kick bass enclosure, that would be stacked over the subs? This is for hornresp, 2pi or 4pi? My logic says 4pi as the boxes are not sitting on ground but the HD15 simulation for example is done in 2pi. Thanks August

I would sim both and try draw my conclusions from that. Neither is a perfect representation of the real world.
It isnt 2pi because its not sitting on the ground, it isn't 4pi unless its floating in the air, the speakers you stack it on top of will have a non zero effect.

Thanks for your replies!
Subs are 82cm if one vertically or 120cm if two horizontally, those are 21"

I'd rather model in 4pi & find I have a little extra in the real world than get my hopes up based on a 2pi model and then be disappointed at having to EQ back in a bunch of extra LF, using up power & excursion on the process.

I find that 4pi is more spiky than 2pi thats why I wanted to clarify this but I would still have to go for less spiky anyway
