Any one know what  b&c drivers are used in d&b audiotechnik V sub and b22 subwoofer ? Embarrassed

its the processing that makes them sound the way they do.

And yes, i have tried (Vsubs for scientific purposes) to run them on a basic crossover out of curiousity of how different they would sound.

Can't help you with that they are loaded with, but i can't imagine it would be a shelf product, likely their chassis with a custom cone on, like many manufacturers do.

I believe they are shelf drivers as diferent models  and manufacturers  with only  cosmetic differences to not looks like shelf drivers. , And yes. Dsp makes them fantastic , powersoft have dsp presets so it is just load it in to amp

would be nice if its that simple eh? Not sure anyone who knows would openly help you out here on this very public forum. Their legal teams wouldn't take kindly to trade secrets being shared on an open public platform!
