Hopefully at some point in the future, I will be looking for new amps, fairly pointless at the minute. I have a Chinese 4 channel to use at the minute.
Thoughts are. New pkn 6000 to run 4 x flash 21's with a new pkn 4000 to run a pair of horn loaded community tops like the rs220. Or Second hand lab fp6400 and 3400. Had pkn before and like the sound, not owned labs.

Having owned a load of these for many years the Lab6400/lab3400 are a great sounding amps, they last forever and easy to get fixed but they are getting old now.
However, maybe have a look at the fp+ amps if you are set on labgruppen. If its just out of the 2 options i would most likely go with new PKN XE6000 for the 21's as more power, limiters, 1u, sound quality is decent, etc. I know there have been issues with reliability but iirc they have fixed some common sensor faults, plus you'll have warranty and they are fairly well priced.

Having owned pkn 6000 and 10000 in my opinion the 6000 isn't great on sub duty. Great for high bass/kicks but not low end. If you can get the funds the 10000 is a much much better amplifier.

All the re search I have carried out tell me the same thing as well. The lab 6400 is not great on sub.
But...2 people who I hold in high regard say they do a very good job on the Turbo 21 bph. Hence the reason for asking between those and pkn, as I have owned pkn before. But not on the same boxes.

Boots, I think I miss read your post.
However, I do get good prices and can get both the 4000 and 6000 for less than a 10,000. The 10,000 is quite pricey. I have also a/b'd the 5002 against a CA18 on decent electric and it did a pretty good job.

Your right, they don't go super low, but they go fairly low just fine and there is a lot of what they can do well.
