Hi all,

I got no idea how much these cabs are worth,

Found someone wanting to sell 4 original cabs loaded with Fane 18xb 1000w for £1200

Good deal?

Cheers

First of all, 18XB drivers are completely wrong for TSE118 cabinets as the ribbed cones disintegrate under pressure.
Secondly, are you sure that they are original Turbosound cabinets as all of the modern Fane drivers with the black finned heatsink attached will not fit in a TSE118 as the heatsink fouls the loading hatch and prevents it being fitted and screwed down correctly.
There are a lot of copies of TSE118 knocking about so be very wary when buying some.

As Robbo Said, Turbosound ceases to be Turbosound the moment someone "upgrades it" those boxes are worth £100 each!
Kinda Been there, Kinda done that, YOU COULDN'T handle my bar bill!

The original driver for the TSE118 (Turbosound LS1802) is quite a modest driver with a 3" voice coil.

Original driver for TSE118 was LS1801 which was the Fane driver then later the mk2 version came along with the LS1802 Precision Devices driver fitted.
They were both identical spec drivers with 300w 3" voice coils except that in real life, the Fane was quite a bit more sensitive than the PD which made mixing and matching a little awkward.
