Hello all, we currently have a tweeter that has blown in one of our floodlights. We’re just looking for advice on how to remove it? We have been told that they turn anti clockwise but they will not budge(don’t want to go crazy and break the mould) any tips on removing them? Thanks In advance

HF driver on a Floodlight is a CD103 or Electrovoice DH3 screw on driver---It could take a fair bit of brute force to unscrew it if it has never been off the horn flare. There are no fancy things peculiar to it like reverse threading like on car wheels so it is just a fair bit of force to get it off---I have changed a lot of HF drivers and diaphragms over the years and have never failed to get one off yet--if you are really struggling then warm it up with a hair drier but be careful not to melt anything.
Do not forget that the HF is 16 ohms so when buying either a new driver or replacement diaphragm, make sure that you get the correct impedance.
Anti clockwise is correct to remove it just like a normal nut or bolt.

Would spraying a bit of WD40, or similar on the thing - and let it soak for a while help?

Not sure on current diaphragm prices but you will find that buying a genuine Electrovoice DH3 item will be a lot cheaper than one from Turbosound---Have a look on Ebay first but don't forget it must be 16 ohms.

Mine is 8 R. It becomes 16 R when connected to the protection network. It's printed 8 R on the label and measures 6,8 R.
