6 RCF HDL6A (3 A Side)
Fly Bar for each hang. Safe and carefully designed fly points.

2 x RCF Sub8004A

Done.

If you want more, scale it up at ratio of 3 HDL6A to 1 Sub 8004. 6 HDL6A per side, with a spaced centre cluster of 4 sub8004 under stage, with a bit of EASE for coverage check, would be very useful.

Just be aware that a straight dash array hang of just 71 cm transitions to pure point source behaviour below 5 kHz at just 3.5 metres distance from the acoustic origin.

That transition happens much closer to the box at lower frequencies.

If you put any curvature at all into a hang of three RCF HDL6-A, then these distances become even shorter.

The default EQ for a line array cabinet has a considerable HF tilt to tonally compensate for LF summation in larger hangs, which won’t be achieved with three boxes of dual 6.5” a side. The achievable maximum linear SPL is going to be dramatically lower than the stated 131 dB peak per cabinet.

That does mean you have HF headroom to spare, but if that isn’t carefully managed then the system may become very aggressive due to mismatched limiting.

The width of coverage in the horizontal may also not suit your venue, especially if you have bare brick walls near to the PA positions. The vertical angle of just 30 degrees total nominal (for the waveguide only, so from 900 Hz to 10 kHz) may also mean a low ceiling trim height gives uneven tonal consistency front to back.

I’m also still cautious about mounting speakers with rear amp plates under stages personally.

It’s not a bad system choice, especially for the money and the recognisable badge, but it isn’t completely plug and play without some planning and tuning.. But then, neither is any installation.

Perhaps if you’re able to give an indication of your budget, audience coverage area in width and depth, ceiling height, and any indication of the surfaces in use then some more specific advice can be offered? It might also be worthwhile indicating if you’re planning to DIY the purchase and installation, or use a contractor and acoustics design team.

I would look at some Ohm point source.

...anything made by sky tech should do it.

Hi.
If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
