Hi all, have come across a pair of Beyma 15G450N drivers for a decent price, and am wondering if they’ll be a good match for my two single 15” reflex cabs.
The measurements of these cabs are:

635mm x 457mm x 572mm
With two 4” ports per cabinet.

Thanks

So Boxes are approx 120 litres maybe.
And Drivers are 7.5mm xmax 750 RMS

If ports are adjustable to suit, then things should work out OK . But bigger port area might be better if possible.

https://speakerboxlite.com/subwoofer-box-calculator/

Plug the dimensions and driver Thiele-Small parameters into this and see for yourself. You can also determine optimum box size or port dimensions based on a target you prefer; max SPL, flat response, etc.

Cheers for that link, very useful.

I’ve put in all the necessary information but I’m unsure of how to tell if the driver will be a good match to the cab? Im relatively inexperienced with regards to what makes a driver a good or bad fit so any help would be great :)

If the port is tuned high the response will have a bass hump which makes it more efficient but below the bass hump frequency the speaker will unload so will need a suitable high pass filter.
Typical tuning might be with a hump at 40-50hz
If the ports are tuned lower the response will look resonably flat with a roll off at a lower frequency, Still needs a high pass if used with decent amounts of power.

So first thing is do you need to get loud as possible, in which case you will get no deep bass, or do you want a more deeper sound but not as loud?

If you have a decent looking sim, then the thing to do would be to find the impedance minimum frequency and learn how to measure that with the speaker in the box. If the sim is accurate the 2 will match. If some thing is off you may have to adjust the port length to suit - Longer being lower, shorter being higher.

Recently  I did a house party & took a 15 reflex. We replaced the ports with longer tubes which gave a deeper sound but at a lower peak volume - not a problem for a party. We lowered the highpass to suit and had lots of compliments about the audio quality.
