Hi I have a Sure AA-AS32971 amplifier running a pair of Mirrage desktop speakers with sub woofer output feeding a Tannoy TS3-00 subwoofer.

When I plug the subwoofer RCA lead into the subwoofer output the amplifier automatically engages a HPF on the speaker outputs. I don't want to happen as I want the Mirrage speaker to run full range and use the filter on the Tannoy TS-300 to control the sub. I'm going to open up the amplifier and see if can modify it the amplifier does not sense the connection of the subwoofer lead meaning the HPF is not engaged.

My question before I open the unit is, does anyone have any idea how the amplifier senses that a lead has been plugged into the sub woofer output?

Mark
