hi there.

i've recently acquired a pair of cabinets that are apparently modelled on the omnitronic BX 1550 (budget "subwoofer")

15 inch, two 8cm ports, about 91000cm^3 volume.

they are extremely well made. i'd like to use them.

i have a pair of martin S15 and F12,

i have some eminence loaded 8inch tops, and another 15 inch sub kicking about too.

so i am thinking where they could slot in to things in either of those set ups. i am thinking that i'd quite like some kick bins.

what sort of requirements are needed for a kick bin? 70 - 180hz? what other considerations need to be kept in mind? i'm aware these cabinets are probably far more suited to low/mid general reinforcement so i am all ears for any other uses for them...

i have been playing around with winisd today and swapping different drivers in, and messing with the port length to see what can be achieved.
