Hi folks,
I have some speakers built that I would like to add a nice pair of 3 way plate amps for. Hypex FA253 seems to fit my requirements. Has anyone experience with these amplifiers/DSP? Where would be the best place/value to purchase, am in Ireland so UK no good (VAT etc) If there are any alternate 3 way plate amps would be interested to hear about thanks

I can’t fault them. The DSP is pretty decent but just make sure the firmware is up to date

whats the noise floor like on them?
application is large studio monitors so ideally quiet as possible, currently running a rack of mc2 and its a bit overkill

There is a base level of hiss but nothing too distracting although we use ours in larger rooms. I believe they have a UK distributor who may be willing to let you try them out. KJF Audio I think is their name
