    Posted: 06 December 2022 at 11:35pm
Hi guys looking into designs for the fane prime 18xs, i've heard it works well in a G SUB but given the box was built for drivers around 600w each at the time will it be a suitable box given drivers nowadays are now 1000w plus each? Also considered the B&C sub18 but making it 2x18 instead, would the G sub benefit from being modified to accomodate the modern more powerful drivers? Interested in thoughts!

I've got a B&C Sub18 (the older shelf port design)

Loaded with a B&C 18DS115-4ohm  and powered from a Powersoft X4 and it's really really decent

So yes, build a double one!

Thanks guys will look into the SUB18 design more, I did notice it has a distinct lack of bracing though which is a bit odd for a sub design!!

You got to work out your own bracing on many free designs.. and handles etc..

Why not Fane's own suggestion?

It's not as easy to build, but 100% designed for your drivers 🙂
