Forward Ever: Australian Sound System Link Up

We are putting on one of our Forward Ever: A Celebration of Sound System Culture events on Saturday 22nd April 2023 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This time we are bringing 4 Sounds Systems from across Australia to together to play in unity featuring 2 sounds from inter-state & 1 from country Vic. To give the Europeans one here an idea of the distances involved in this show this is like booking sounds from London, Monaco & Barcelona to play in Paris. After almost a year since the last session, Forward Ever returns with our most ambitious line up to date! Bringing 4 of Australia’s finest Sound Systems together for an Inter-State Sound System Conference taking place over 2 rooms expect to hear the best in Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Jungle, Drum & Bass and Beyond as we gather together for a Celebration of Sound System Culture.

We are hyped to be returning to the amazing Croxton Bandroom for another historic night of heavyweight Sound System Music & Culture. It is super exciting to see the growth of the Sound System community all over Australia and we cannot wait to have our out of town guests come and bless up the dance. Do not miss out on this opportunity to see 4 of Australia’s Biggest, Baddest & Heaviest Sound Systems string up together and play at their full potential with a huge line up of special guest DJ’s, Selectors, Singers, MC’s & Players of Instruments.

HAHA, well we are heading up to Sydney this weekend with the rig for the reggae carnival so the Sydney massive will get a taste of how we run things on the 18th.

For anyone interested in the systems playing at Forward Ever on the 22nd April here are some pics and a little bit of info:

ForeignDub from Sydney NSW will be powering the front bar with a selection of DJ's playing Jungle & DnB. The system comprises of 2 x Turbo TMS-3 with 6 x DIY Single 18 W-Bins.



Next up Soul Jazz from Canberra ACT, with Martin W8C on tops, F2B double 15's for kick and Void loaded Hogs for sub powered by a selection of high power Chinese amps, think Admark, CVR or Morin with a Sage Sound pre amp and fancy pants XTA crossover.



Sasquatch from Torquay VIC with Void Super Scoops, RCF loaded ES18BPH and B&C/Faital paraflex tops all run off a Powersoft X8 with a RasFX Preamp. This sound will feature live dubbing from Sekkleman via a multitrack player and a mixing desk with outboard effects



Finally my own rig Adrians Wall from Melbourne VIC will be rounding out the sounds, PD loaded hogs, HD15 & MT121 with JBL high Mid & BMS tops through a combo of JB & Mostec Preamps with all QSC PL amps
