What would be a good set of active tops and bins (something like 12" tops and 18" bins), am putting together a general purpose active system, will be buying used gear, something like QSC, RCF, Yamaha DXR, cheers

All of the above. I have Yamaha DXR and EV EKX systems in rental use for over 10yrs with no failures at wedding style events ranging from 50-250 peeps.
