Either:
1) scoops on one amp, 1 scoop per channel, hd's and smt's on the other amp, 2 cabs per channel. 2) my preferred way, 1 scoop on each of the first 2 channesls of each amp (1+2) hd's on channel 3 and smt's on channel 4 of each amp. Make up some speaker link leads, if an amp goes down then you can link cabs and keep going in mono with minimum fuss and also spreads the load accross the amps power supplies more evenly.

Really appreciate your immediate response & answers!
To clear things up, i only mention the 12'' on the smt style because i'll temporarily use other amps for the compresion drivers which are detached not in the same box as a classic smt. i have two 2'' and two 1'' precision devices drivers. |

Mono stack:
Subs on Amp 1 ch. 1+2. HD15 on Amp 1 ch. 3+4. 12“ on Amp 2 ch. 1+2. 2" on Amp 2 ch. 3+4. Or if you run stereo setup like normal people: One amp each side. Subs on ch. 1 HD15 on ch. 2 12" on ch. 3 2" on ch. 4 I do this on daily basis with my FP's. IMO it puts less strain on the amps and they tend to run cooler. Maybe I could do with a bit more headroom on sub duty but it works. Two TWA Audio BSX dual 21" on ch 1 on each amp. Works like a charm. Edited by FOO - 04 May 2023 at 10:54pm |
