Hello everyone,
I also have a Chameleon amp, but the exact type is not mentioned on the housing,
how can i know what type it is, for the mains fuse 5A is mentioned, and there are
10 power-transistors for one channel, so it could be a 2 times 1000W-type.
Also something is wrong with the input stage,
i like to fix this but i have no schematics.
Does anyone has schematics or knows how to find them?
And how to know what type it is exactly?
Thanx a lot in advance, TJ

hi,
my chameleon has a serial number on the rear left of the amp that says 2D1017. my amp is meant to be the 2000d. 2000w bridged at 4ohm or 1000w p/ch at 2ohm, although i am dubiouse of this when running a multimeter on the binding posts at full power. hace a look for the serial number. al |

Hi,
Still don't know on the model,
at the back only "Chameleon serial nr -168" is mentioned,
so the serial nr is -168, what does that mean?
Does anyone knows how to get circuit diagrams?
Thanx again, TJ

Hi,
Found this on the net: http://www.gbaudio.co.uk/data/
check different chameleon types and specs,
on the weight and the dimensions (depth) you are sometimes able
to difine what model you have.
Still don't know if mine is a 2000D or 3000d...
Greetzzz,
TJ

2000D has 10 output transistors per channel, though on mine there is space on the heatsinks to push that upto 12. On our chameleons they have the model written on the front, and I'm pretty sure there are hand written tags on the inside.
