Hi people

I have some jbl sf 25's, full range cabs 2x15 maybe some of you know them.

Anyways i was looking to build some bins/subs to get a lil extra bass.

I have a c audio SRX 3801 and an old bss crossover not doing anything  and would like your sugestions on what to build.

I use the cabs for  well just me and my mates fun, beach, house barn.

An enjoyable hobby i guess. I.E not in a professional capacity.

I was thinking of some 184 subs has anyone made any of these and if so what do you think of them?

The JBL's are pretty punchy but lack the low end warmth if you know what i mean.

They also have enternal crossovers that split the lower frequences between the two fifteen's, one handling the upper bass the other the lower.

So no point in runing then threw an external crosover in a 2 way setup for instance.

I was considering horns but they dont sound to good close up and because of the size of place i normaly use the system its seems pointless.

I know the 184 sub is good up to 117hz so it seems to be a good choice if the JBL's have unuff punch for there on up.

So any users of these cabs feedback would be great, and just any advice anyone else could give.

Thanks in advance

A M

Hi,

I would build 2 X1's, and crossover to your JBLs at about 70hz.
