would two mt122's be a suitable choice of mid top for a rig consisting of four 18" superscoopers and 2 hd15??? also, are the mt122's meant to stand upright or can they be laid on their sides so they would be pointing up at a slight angle??? cheers guys merry xmas!!! |

That should be plenty for 2 scoops per side,but I'd rather go for Mt102's(only my personal choice).Better to leave them standing upright as u want the sound projected forwards and not really upwards.(unless ur playing to 9 foot basketball players of course) Merry Xmas 2 u 2 |

the vertical array,is for horizontal dispersion. You can move left to right,without the drivers having different path lengths to your ear. Note that in the vertical,the path lengths will change-but this matters less as people tend to not be 45* up or down relative to the speakers,but more often 45* left or right of them. Having them horizontal will be detrimental to horizontal dispersion.[Comb filter attack] |
