It looks like some moron has savaged the cone in one of my friend's Mackie subs, I've not seen it myself but the people who used them last said it looks as if someone's stuck a screwdriver in and completely shredded it.

I was fairly certain the drivers could be found on Thomann's site but I'm not having much luck; does anyone know of a supplier and rough price to get a recone or replacement driver?

Don't think the driver is anything special.  You could probably replace it with any suitable 18".  Eminence maybe.

I would get a replacement cone assembly from Mackie (or a new driver) and then get it fitted.
As the enclosure is a BP6 type the driver has to be fairly robust.

If its fairly old it should be an rcf driver, i think loud sold rcf though so if its a newer one it might not be rcf.   try roy at rmj loudspeakers he recently did some reconeing for us (for some omega pros that are in copys of these makie cabs), id recomend him,  think hes the official reconer for RCF in uk so probs your best bet for an rcf recone.
