so much thanks for the insights Walt.....
it is just really tempting because of its straight and easy for cutting horn flare. compared to the a-bit-complicated real Xtro. again, thanks for the clarification.... thanks also to StaticAge... regards, macweb  |

so what causes the resonances??? is it the saquar shaped mouth? [the selleniums dont have this problem though and they have a square mouth.... just a thought]
was it panel resonances? [if so maybey bracing/materials may help alot?] will they in a stack of say 4 above subs hit 80hz??? and what t/s params are we looking for when choosing possible drivers for these? i may go about a prototype over x-mas if i get chance, i got a wee bit of mdf that could do with being sacrificed for the good of some healthy research. like to try and stretch the cab width to 1140mm though for stacking purposes..... but we work with what we got  guese..... |
