Sorry to bring up an ancient thread...but I'm wondering if you have any cut sheets for your TH115 model, Hugo?
I really want to build the TH118 and my understanding is that it's the same cabinet with a bigger baffle cutout. is that correct? Thanks for your help.

Those are commercial designs and sharing plans here is against the forum rules.
You want to build a copy? Buy one and dismantle it to get measurements. Plus, that box performance in big part it depends on the driver that is used in it. So unless you can spend 700+ usd on the driver, dont bother.

Yep... unless you have the same drivers, you're better off looking at the DIY cabs designed around readily available drivers
Xoc1's TH18, as mentioned earlier, is a good starting point - and apparently very close to a TH18 At least with a DIY cab you can get an insight in to the performance goals and design process, and if HornResp data is available you can work out if other drivers are suitable Much better than just ripping off a commercial design and throwing in any driver you have handy to hope it works |

Xoc1s box is almost spot on TH118. He use the same driver Danley use, so the performance is close. Using any other driver will be far from good. So again, if you are willing to spend the money on the right driver then build it. If not then no point.

I'm not sure, I heard of pd.1850 ripped before (not in tapped horns)
It's not far from sw115, but the lf18x451 is even closer and much cheaper, but will it work? Try hornresp, looks good? then see if you can rip the cone up with heavy bass and appropiate lowcut, if so; please post it here, then we won't have to do the same:-) |
