the large blue brace on the plan doesnt look right to me, how can the brace come to the front of the box? the driver would be in the way...

It's above the driver. If you're worried about it extend the front, side and rear panels 10-20 mm, keeping the port, top and bottom the same.

I'm finally getting round to bracing my x15s ahead of using them above 50W i.e. out and about in earnest for gigs, and I would like to check a couple of measurements and brace placement suggestions (also the alternative drivers) but the main speakerplans site is down still :(

Oh, and I can confirm using the bmd450 on the 220 horn with the sn15mb no fouling will accur if you follow the plans!
