Dear Panel,

I currently use 18" scoop bins, but I am looking at down sizing a set to alow us to play more house type parties etc. We play reggae and soul and require a heavy bass line you can feel in your chest etc. From a box that does not take up half the room.

So any advice on the X1 with Wembley speakers 18" B-Lines or Fane 18" would be really go.

Thanks for you time

Huet

I have fane Colossus in the scoop bins, but they are old and tried and I will be looking at getting new drivers for the new boxes. Hence the question about b-lines which I have heard in scoops and they sound good as far as reagge is concerned.

If you're going to get new drivers then get the ones recommended for the box.  The V1000 seems to be the driver of choice if you can afford it

Why not just get the Wembley B Line 2820 Bass Cabs?

They drop low and they don't take up much room at all.

Thanks, Norty303,

Who makes them?

Where are the recommendations for the X1 on this site.
I have only seen the design drawings under speaker plans section

Enigma, it is more looks with the B Line bass cabs,
then anything else.   They look more like they could be in your front room then on semi pro rig.

"alow us to play more house type parties" = Front Room?

I quite like them myself.

But then I do use 4 so am a bit biased.
