stick em on a pallet or two...
wrapped in a tarpauline, you can get away with months worth of storage....

Pallets is certainly a good thing to do. getting them off the floor is the most important thing.

serious....
I came across that one, as when i was a teen...my first bits of rig were stored in my gramps cellar....
Very musty, but two pallets ontop of each other, and an offcut of tarp to sit on top of the pallets (but under the cabs) worked a treat ;)

I think I found a good solution. Its a plastic Shed which I think solved the humid problem. Its very strong made by rubber maid. Has 1.2" thick walls, 1.5" thick plastic floor and a thick roof. only costs about 300GBP

yea they are the home depot ones going for 579USD>
Yea they are quite secure, metal latch for a pad lock, but who is gonna steal my 140 pound unloaded subs anyway. Thats all I'm gonna put in them. No electronics whatsoever Sizes are 7' x 7' x 7'9" so its quite good! Better than spending it on storage rent! Edited by djstefanos - 12 April 2008 at 4:27pm |

having the same problem, going to be having some bins built soon but wont have a temperature/ humidity controlled lock-up for a while.
their going to be completely finished when their stored i, thought about wrapping them in a role of cling film/ shrink wrap and putting them up pallets. Sound O.K? |

I'd say the cling film approach could make things worse..
any moisture trapped inside is not going to escape... |

ive had cabs in cold garages for years, never had any problems. aslong as you open the door at let air circulate once in a while.
ive got one ply cab in my 'wet' store. been there over a year. its got some mould on it but still solid as the day it went in there. |
