I have deceided to make some HD15's as I have
Some spare wood Some spare 15" drivers No girlfriend and I'm getting seriously bored in the evenings! My wood is 18mm MDF left over from making my 184 subs. I was wondering if that flexy MDF you can get will be suitable for making the curve of the horn if 2 9mm pieces are shaped and glued together? I prefer the look of one continuous piece as opposed to seperate pieces. My spare drivers are Electrovoice EVM 15L. Any reason these would not be suitable for HD15? Which way up should they be used, ie horn mouth pointing up, down, or to one side or does it not matter? Any help greatly appreciated! |

Your idea for the bendy MDF should work.. if mykey were here (sob sob) I'm sure he'd be piping up to tell you that it's his preferred method for curvy bits...
