id like to get a couple pairs of B&C's 18NW100 woofers. but as i look at thier stats, thier EBP is 121 and thier BL is at 28, is that ok to use for the 1850 horn, would i have better sound with the 186horn?

T/s specs? How do they compare to the original driver for this horn?

If the t/s parameters are rather similar to the one intended for the horn,it should work.

I have heard there are thermal power compression problems with using Neo drivers such as 18NW100 in small sealed cabinets such as the rear chambers on horns as there is a limited amount of air to cool the voice coil and magnet.  I'm assuming that drivers with large ferrite or ceramic magnets have a greater mass to absorb the heat and thus the increase in temperature is slower.  I'd be interested if anyone knows the truth on this.

From the investigation I've done, the 18NW100 looks like a great driver, but maybe not suited to horn boxes, been considering it for the X1 or variant perhaps.  Seems that PD seem to have the horn loading drivers corner covered tho...

hi there,
what do you think of building horn 186 with B&C 18ps76. it has high sensitivity 99db, BL26 and EBP 137  (because of high resonant frecvency 39hz).  Only problem is voice coil of 3 inch. but if i don't need too mouch power, what do you think should it work?
