You can use any electronic x-over. Most people set it to 80-90hz lowpass and a highpass of 30-35hz for safety. Steeper slopes are better!

With what slopes do you believe that it's best for the High Pass 30hz and the low pass 80hz?

ideal would be ∞db/oct but that isn't quite feasible is it.

However 24db/oct should do the trick.

I run a Behringer 2-stereo/3-mono, with the X1's about 65hz.

I think that your crossover Hobbyist has a very low cut off option at 25Hz. The ideal would be at 30Hz because under this frequency driver unloads. Is the affect noticable?

The overexcursion at high power will be noticable, but that's only when the song has these frequencies in it. You could also(if using a 31band eq) pull the 20+25hz bands down and the 30hz band down about 3-6db to start the curve off earlier, this works the same, and will be ok with the 25hz cutoff cascaded-seeing as from 30 down to 25hz at 24db/oct would only be 3-6db at this point anyway(-24db at 15hz)
Although I will point out that the 6th order cabs I built(like x1-smaller(200ltr total)-with p180/2241 in them) are SUPPOSED to run out of xmax at full power below 35,don't mind flat input to 30 as far as I can tell(I have the same x-over and use eq below 30hz)

I don't believe I've noticed it, as I normally cut all freq's below 30hz as LunchieTrey mentioned on the eq. I'll have to verify what the low cut off freq is when I see the xover again.
