The bass reflex cabinets that I am using now, use an internal crossover between the input jacks and the woofer. I didn't see any mention of using an internal crossover in the plans. Is anyone using them? Is it needed? |

You aren't going to get a passive crossover that can handle the sort of power you should be putting into an X1... A crossover is needed though. You need to run active. |

Sorry, but if your needs dictate a cab like the X1, a passive crossover
should not come into considderation even. Also refer to another thread
on this forum about "standard practice" with non-speakon speaker
connectors (sorry)
@Dom: there is always the alternative of using a five finger discount on transformer boxes at the local power substation if passive filters are really needed. |
