I have looked at rcfs specs for their drivers. the highest "BL is 26 but i dont know what the "EBP" is Can i get away with the low "BL" and what is EBP?? cheers I have two cabs made and plan to build two more~ D |

BL = motor strength. Any BL less than 20 is a weak motor and not suitable for horns. So basically the higher the BL, the more control it has on the cone being linear.So very low BL the cone just flaps about uncontrollably[ sounds muddy and boomy and sometimes the driver gets damaged].

just use a pd or void driver. they re cheaper and better + thats what the boxes are designed for...

Wasn't there an RCF driver quoted on the 186 plans? Yep L18P300.
186 horn is a 1850 horn for lower efficiency drivers (actually vice versa). |
