does anyone have some detailed drawings of the horn? I want to
make a cabinet where you can have an acess plate in the rear, and so
far no one has come up with a solution. I was thinking that you
could have some kind of overlapping panel infront of the speaker
flange, which bolts up tight when you bolt the speaker in.

What i have done is that I removed the t-nuts from the phase plug and I'm going to bolt the phase plug with the driver. Then I'm going bolt the horn to the phase plug from the handle holes. I was also thinking about making an access door to the rear but I think this way it's really easier.

I was thinking that you could split the front baffle, so that it fits
tight around the back of the horn, then bolt all the way thru the
baffle, horn, phaseplug and speaker, with nuts on the back face of the
speaker flange.

I can't really see any good reason for a rear access panel... It's really not an issue dropping the driver and horn in together as per the porn addick plan. We built ours before that plan was posted and it just took some careful measurement and everything fitted spot on.. Having an access door just puts restrictions on the size and shape of the cab (you cant really do a trap for example) and you really need to make the rear chamber as small as possible which you cant if you need to get a driver in from the rear... |

you have a very valid point there, hadn't thought about that. Was
getting carried away with the idea of the splitt baffle.
