Has anyone worked out the front panel width on this design? Taking into account the fact that the pannel is 30mm set back.

cheers

Hi Tmal,

you could get mathematical on the X10's but that isn't quite necessary to determine the baffle-width .
The easiest way is to build the entire cab (sides, back, bottom and top) and then just measure the distance between the sides at 30mm from the front.  At least this is the way a build my X12's and they turned out pretty fine.

regards,
Jochen

Always a compromise, You can't have everything...

Hey, i modelled it in rhino then checked the lengths and it came out saying its.....

352.266mm across the face
345.594mm inside

so the whole baffle would be 800*352*18 (within a hair anyway)

get that cut if your going to sand down the edges to 10.5' or get it  a bit wider if you need to use a angle saw thingie..... yes one of those.....

the rear panel (for calculus :P)....

207.702mm inside
201.03mm at the rear

PM if you want the model, can export in most common formats so lemme know.

Alf
