Ok guys, bit of background information.
I have been looking into building my own system for a while now, but money has always been the major issue. Up until recently the chance of getting amps together that collectively would run a 506kW system had been pretty much 0! A friend of mine is moving away in the next few months and before he goes hes promised to give me his amp design and some pcbs with a bill of materials so i can build them. (I am an electronic engineer so this kind of work is completely fine with me) He claims to me that they can run 500W continously for 24 hours per side, or 1kW bridged. What kind of test will i need to do on them before i start using them on my speakers that i will be getting, is there anything i need to be aware of? The cases i will be designing myself and apart from cooling and connectors is there anything else i should take inot account when doing so? Many Thanks Ben |
