Hi Guys a quick Question, will the pd 186 sound good in the EV box below ? http://www.electrovoice.com/Electrovoice3/files.nsf/Pages/T1 8/$file/T18-eds.pdf or what driver will sound good in that box ? |

So you thnink they will sound good ?? or should i use another driver, BNC,kilomax ?? they will be used in multiples, and inside halls.

Hi, how big are the halls going to be and how far do you want the sound
to travel?.....186 are okay as a general all rounder but like i said if
you are getting them cheap , if not consider building folded horns for
distance and load them up proper, even scoopes are okay inside in
mutiples. I can't see the pic properly of the EV.

like the two others have said, it depends on your play area. are you building them for a small or large area?, how many people are you hosting? what is your range of responce your looking for and how far do you want it to carry? |

It's a T-18, an ass backwards scoop. The 186 will move the air, not as
much as the 1850, but quite possibly more than the original EV driver,
there's already a thread on this, have a little go with the search
function for T-18 drivers and read Rog's FAQ.
So the more you get together the less pronounced the notching will be, or cross it over really low, and put some kind of kickhorn above it, if you need that kind of transient snapping, |

PD186 most people are suggestion that driver for the T18.
