If the cone was moving forward more than about 4mm then it would be hitting the letterbox baffle.

just checked the RCF CAD drawing and it is 145mm behind the mounting flange so overall depth is actually 155mm. so can't be sure it will fit. and as said above, although 11.25mm xmax and 1500W the rebate on the baffle may not allow it to be driven to full power without addition of a spacer ring which may not fit.

Perhaps you can route a circle in the front loading plate, as you only need to make room for the cone edge, would give a slightly smaller front chamber.
I'm worried for about that front chamber plate breaking at the pressure though:-o LF15N451 sims like crazy in there too, but it doesn't save all that weight. |

A rebate is already routered into the baffleboard so that the cone and suspension do not hit the board face surrounding the letterbox horn slot.

Ok, long time since I had my head inside a m215 mk3, used to own two!
Perhaps space for some more routing? I guess the gaskets compress all the way down! |
