I had my ultra drive concerted to my computer but i stood on the RS232 to usb conveter and broke it.

So I bought another but this one says 'error code 10' in device manager and the DCX software can see the ultra drive.
Ive reinstalled the driver but it says the same

Im running windows vista 64x On a mac book pro.

can anyone help?

cheers

Is the usb-serial vista compatible? I know a lot of them aren't

Also it'd be useful to know which one you bought so others (inc me!) don't get non-compatible ones

They probably tried it but got freaked out by a platform that doesn't crash!

I've had my 15" new style macbook pro for a week or so now, the lack of crashing is really wierd!

Running VMWare Fusion though with vista, so have the ability to run windows within osx :)

Ditto the annoyance about lack of control software, but oh well, at least it has control software :P

Three year old XP instalation on a PC. Never crashes. Mac's so good they had to go Intel and Microsoft?
Each to their own, but XP is perfectly stable.
It's everything, not everythink!
