I was thinking it would be quite interesting to try simming different drivers in the enclosure and seeing how well they perform.

I was thinking with the right driver it might give slightly better extension down to 100Hz maybe?

The easiest way of doing this would be in hornresp wouldn't it?
I'm English, and as such I crave disappointment. I actively seek it out.

Yes. Check bitzo's thread on his sims in 'other plans'.

I'm not sure about 100hz due to the inherent cutoff of the design (playing with drivers shifts response to an extent...but there's a limit. give it a go anyway if you wish.
Away on extended leave.

Cheers, I've been meaning to give Akabak a go, I've pretty much got to grips with hornresp, but I've just found out hornresp isn't really supposed to sim mid-horns (apparently)...

I've got the wood and drivers to hand anyway, and today I got as far as building the baffles, but it would be nice to see how the sim compares to real life and I may even try extending the horn length a little to see if I can get down to that magical 100Hz. Smile (My sub works from 40Hz - 100Hz and I don't want to use kick bins...)
